In the spirit of our upcoming 100th day of school the third grade will participate in a meaningful school wide community service project. Learning about the nature of giving, helping others and supporting communities is ongoing. We hope to capitalize on this special day for our school by doing something significant for those in need.
Each grade will be collecting a specific non-perishable food item, totaling one hundred containers per class. All grades are participating thus making our grand total, as a school, approximately 2,300 items.
All of the food items will be donated to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, which is thrilled that Ox Ridge is making such an effort to support their ongoing hard work.
Each student, in our grade, is asked to bring in four containers/jars of peanut butter. If you could please send in your items by February 5th it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support.
